Wedding Card

Well, after a little longer hiatus than I thought it would be, I'm back! The creative "mojo" is flowing and I have been playing (um, creating).

A co-worker of mine asked me if I could make her a card for an upcoming wedding, and I couldn't wait to ink up this LOTV image. The image is stamped on Neenah cardstock, and colored with Copics. The lacey border is a Punch Around The Page set by Martha Stewart. The "Mr. & Mrs." sentiment is from Stampendous which I mounted on a Spellbinders Fancy Tag die. I kept the embellishments to a minimum, just a few gems and some Stickles. Here is a close up of the image:

Mom's Birthday Card

Wonder if you noticed under the play date cards, that I did not have a card shown. Well, this is my card. My mom's birthday is tomorrow, July 20th, and I am giving it to her.

The card was totally cased from here. The embossing folder is from Stampin' Up. I believe it is called Manhattan Flower. The back ground papers were a digital download from the same site as the cased card.

I like to make cards that involve techniques other than just coloring images, and that is what caught my attention on this one.

LOTV Challenge 105 - Pink and Blue

Here is the card that I created for the current Lili of the Valley - Challenge 105 "Pink and Blue." I got a few images colored last weekend, and funny how this one just happened to meet the requirements of the challenge. I was going for a vintage feel, I think I pulled it off.

The image was colored with copics, the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts, and the punches used are Martha Stewart and Stampin' Up. The sentiment is a Stampin' Up stamp also.

Lili of the Valley Card

Here is a card that I am entering in the Lili of the Valley Challenge #104. The image is called "Emma Swing" and is of course from Lili of the Valley. The sentiment is also from LOTV. I colored the image with Copics, and chalked the sky and remaining grass area. The paper is from Prima, the flowers from WOC, the leaf swirl diecut is from Cheery Lynn Designs, and the lace is from my stash.

Fly Me To The Moon!!!

Recently received my Summer Stamp Club kit from Magnolia. I wasn't too sure about the kit, as all the previous ones have been so sweet! It also seemed as if we were being given stamps from two different collections, one sports related, and one space related. Well, I decided to take one of the stamps that I thought I was least likely to use an create a card. Here is the card:

If you are at all familiar with the Summer Stamp Club kit, you can see that I ended up using three of the stamps from the kit on the outside. Here is the inside:

I used another of the stamps from the kit on the inside. The DP's are from BoBunny "Blast Off!" collection, and the image is colored with Copics. I also used a Martha Stewart grass punch. Although it doesn't show up very well in the picture, I used Glossy Accents on Tilda's space helmet, and a gelly roll pen on the piping of her spacesuit. It was hard to make a card with Tilda on it and not use flowers and ribbons! LOL!!

I challenged myself, and it worked. I was able to create a card that had me thinking "out of the box" using stamps that I might not have ever used. I am now going to go back to my stamping table and try to create a card with another of the stamps that I did not think I would use.

Catching Up!

Part of being crazy making cards, for me, is playing catch up. I am kind of "anal" with regards to needing to finish projects, no matter the time of year or season. I had these images colored prior to Easter, but just recently finished making them into cards.

Mother's Day Cards

Thought I would share with you the cards that I made for my mom and mum-in law for Mother's Day.

This is the card for my Mom. The stamp is from Blue Ridge Impressions. I stamped the image on wood veneer, and colored with my Prisma pencils. Sorry the picture seems a little blurry, it looks better in real life. I saw this technique in the Blue Ridge Impressions catalog, and thought I would give it a try.

This is the card for my mum-in-law. the stamp is a Heartfelt Creations stamp that is part of their "Springtime Cardinal" line. The image was colored with Copic markers. The sentiment on this card and my mom's card is from Stampin' Up.

Mother's Day Note Cards

Hello!!!!!!

I am back to join the card making world. Work has settled down and I now have some time to play. I spent the whole day yesterday at my stamping table. Got my mother's day cards done, as well as these note cards that I made for my mum-in-law. I used Penny Black Brushstroke stamps on all of the cards, ink to rubber technique with my Marvy markers, and then spritzed with a little water for a water-color look. I kept the cards pretty clean and simple, since I was making four of each. I did not put any sentiments or greetings on any of them as my mum-in-law likes to write her own little note. Let me know what you think of them.

An Update!

I just wanted to give those of you that follow my blog an update on where I am and what I have been doing. Back in November, I started to have some back issues after a normal visit to my chiropractor. Sitting for any length of time really was an issue, so my stamping and crafting time really took a hit. Oh, the mojo has been there, but the body wasn't. After many trips to the chiropractor, who believed it was my sacroiliac joint, and my family doctor, who believed it was my sciatic nerve, back x-rays were finally taken on the 17th of December, by my chiropractor. The x-rays showed that at some time in my first half of a century, I had fallen and chipped one of the vertebrae in my back, and that vertebrae was starting to cauliflower or deteriorate some, and was causing pinching of a nerve. Well, needless to say, it is now on the mend with some changing of habits. I love the holidays, but not this year!

For those of you that don't know, I am an accountant, and work for a public accounting firm. Guess what, my busy time of the year is here. Work a 12 hour day, and sleep for 7-8 hour, there just isn't much time left for stamping.

I do have some projects on my stamping table that I am working on when I have a few minutes, so stay tuned.

Masculine Cards

Over the past few years, I have been making birthday cards for my mom to use. I have been working on some masculine cards, as she has son-in-laws and grandsons that like nature and also hunting. I have had these stamps for a long time. They are by Stampa Rosa and the artist is a Ken Michaelson, I believe. They have been inked up, and then put back in the drawer as I couldn't find a coloring medium that I liked. Well, I dug them out again and went at it with my handy-dandy Copic markers, and this is the results. Please let me know what you think.

High Hopes Challenge 96 - Buttons

Well, I have and haven't been very productive this week. I went to the chiropractor last Friday for a normal adjustment, and the adjustment ended up causing a bigger issue, a problem with my left sacroiliac. I cannot sit for long periods of time, so work has not been very productive. Crafting has has been a little more so. I have been stamping and coloring standing up. I have been able to get two cards done this week, which is a major accomplishment for me during the week!

Both of the cards that I made, were for the current High Hopes Challenge #96 - Buttons. I used one of their snowman stamps, and knew just what I was going to do with it. Hah!!! It did not turn out at all like I planned, and I did not like it. So, knowing me, I set it aside and went to work creating a second card which I will share in later post. After creating the second card, I picked at the first card, changed a few things, and what do you know, I came up with something that I could live with, and here it is.

Please let me know what you think. I appreciate any comment, good or bad on this one, because I really struggled.

Red & Green

Well, this is my first Christmas card of the season. The High Hopes Challenge for this week is Red and Green, and I think this card fits right in, so I am going to enter it. This is the only High Hopes Christmas stamp that I have, so if I would win, I think I would get a few more. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

The image was colored with Copics, and the DP is "Brrr" from Fancy Pants Designs. I cut the image out with my Classic Circle Nesties, and layered onto the Classic Scallop Nesties. I chalked around the image before taking it out of the die to give the background a little color. The snowflakes were punched with EK Success punches, and the other embellishments are from my stash. Oh yeah, I also added white fun flock to the fur on Santa's suit.

DP2 Challenge #50

This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too, that I had the idea for the card back in May, LOL!! I had picked out the paper, embellishments, etc. and thought that I would work on while on vacation back in May. Duh, nobody told life it wasn't supposed to get in the way. I am kind of strange with respect to the fact that when I get an idea for a card, I do not move onto new projects until the old ones are done. Well, all the old ones got completed this weekend. Hurrah!!!!!

The challenge this week over at the DP2 Challenge blog is Bling, Bling, and more Bling. I thought that this card might qualify, so I am going to give it a try and enter.

The DP is Basic Grey, the image is colored with copics, the die on the rose is a Magnolia Doo-Hickey die which I edged with Stickles, the pearls are from Hero Arts, and the rest of the embellies are from my stash.

Vintage Christmas Card

This card was put together by accident, LOL!!!

I was playing around with a tutorial for using a MS border punch as "trim" around the outside of the design, either circle or oval. I had an oval in red that I hadn't used, and a 12 inch piece of green card stock scrap. I thought, oh well, this is just for practice, who cares about the colors. Well, this is what I came up with using my "practice" piece.

The stamp set is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry called "Noel". I have quite a few of their sets, and they are really fun to work with. The DP is from Penny Black, poinsettia from Prima, and the branches are another MS punch. I chalked around the image before I took it out of my nestie to give it a softer look.

Hero Arts Stamps

Well, life got in the way again, but that is life!

Here are the cards that I was going to post this week one day at a time. They are all Hero Arts stamps that I have purchased throughout the summer with the good intention of getting a card made with them right away. LOL!!!!!!! Notice the exclamation points, huh, never happened! But, I did have time over Labor Day, and here they are:

This card was made with a stamp from the Hero Arts Poly Clear set, Real Flowers, sentiment is also a Hero Arts stamp, a MS butterfly punch, rick rack, and card stock from Lasting Impressions.

I used another stamp from the same set for this card. I used the new Shadow Inks that Hero Arts came out with to stamp the image. The sentiment and border punch are from Stampin' Up.

This stamp is a rubber cling stamp from Hero Arts called Butterfly Field. I stamped the image with Brilliance Moonlight White pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then took my sponge daubers and added Distress Inks in various colors to the image and wiped off the excess with a kleenex.

This stamp is also a rubber cling stamp called Poppy Backgound. I inked the image with first Wild Honey Distress ink and then added Barn Red Distress ink to the bottom of the image. I then coated with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.

The purpose of these cards, for myself, was to prove that I still could create cards that did not involve coloring of images. While I do love my Copics, I wanted to try some other mediums.

Witchy Tilda!!

Hello all!!!

Long time no post! Life, meaning getting two boys ready and off to college, took its toll on my stamping and crafting time. I did finally get to play on Labor Day weekend and created some cards. Following is my first Halloween card of the season, and I couldn't wait to use this Tilda stamp that had not seen ink from last year! I used four Magnolia stamps, Witch Tilda, Owl, and When the World from last year's "Spooky" collection, and the African Sun that I turned into a moon from the "Animal/Pet" collection.

The images were all colored with my Copics. The background was created using daubers and various shades of Stampin' Up ink on SU's Whisper White paper. The tree branch in the corner is a stamp from Stampscapes. The DP is from Graphic 45 "Halloween in Wonderland" collection. All other embellishments are from my stash.

Birthday Cards!

A co-worker of mine asked me if I could make a card for her grandson's first birthday. The little guy's name is Rex, and his mother is having a dinosaur theme for his birthday. I was told that the color scheme was orange and teal. Well, I knew that I had dinosaur images, and made two cards. Both of the images are from Whipper Snapper Designs, and were colored with Copics. I think Rex's grandma will be quite pleased if I do say so myself

Alcohol Inks

Here a couple of cards that I made using an old technique, alcohol inks, glossy card stock, and a straw. I dropped some coordinating colors of alcohol ink on glossy card stock, and then took a straw and blew the ink in different directions. I then stamped the images, the lighthouse is by Impression Obsession and the sailboat by PSX (very old!) with Staz On ink. I needed to do something other than just color with my Copics, and I think they both turned out quite well.

Son's Birthday Card

This is the card that I gave my son, Ryan, for his 19th birthday. It seems to fit him and his friends real well. The image is called "Game On" from Mo's Digital Pencil. Although I love my rubber, these digital images are fun to work with. The image was printed on Neenah cardstock and then colored with my Copics. The card was made the night before his birthday, nothing like waiting until the last minute!

Stamp Group Card

A group of friends and I meet monthly, and we have a make and take of each others cards. This is the card that I made for our last get together in June. Both of the image stamps that I used were from Hero Arts, and stamped with paint, not sure were the sentiment was from. The paint was the Ranger Paint Daubers that I applied directly to my stamp and then stamped the image. The stamps cleaned up real easy with water. I was out to try something new, and really like how it turned out. I must admit that this was a card that Archiver's had in one of their Shabby Chic classes that I did not take, and I cased it exactly! They did share the technique with me though, and the class was done being offered.

This second card is the same exact card, just trying out a new technique, again cased from Archivers. They were doing an update on the cards from the previous class using new techniques. This time, the image was stamped with Peel Paint Distress ink on white card stock with clear embossing powder applied and then heat set. I then sponged Wild Honey Distress ink over the whole image, and then sprayed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. Same card, different look!

Finally had time to make the rest of the Mo's Digital Pencil images that I had colored (way back from May) into cards. Sometimes finding the time to put them all together is hard! LOL! It is so stress relieving when I can finally get them into cards, and they either come out the way I imagined, or sometimes better, sometimes worse. I am totally happy with this bunch though! Butterfly Tilda!

I belong to the Yahoo Group Magnolia-licious, and every month we do a mingle. The theme for July is butterflies. This is my card for my mingle partner. I did up two variations, just changing the flowers. I used Tilda as Butterfly, which you can find in Diana's store here.

I did do something different though. I did use my Copics, however, I used chalks for the shading. I really like the look. The punches were all Martha Stewart, the flowers were from Prima and Wild Orchid. The DP is from Memory Box Gossamer collection. I added stickles to the wings, and glossy accents to her shoes.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! I hope you are having a fabulous holiday weekend. The weather here is getting to be firecracker weather, but that's okay!

My card uses a stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs that I have had for quite a while. I have colored it with Copics, and kept it fairly simple just using a few embellishments. I made two of these cards, and gave one to each of my friends that I went out for pizza with. Hi, Lori and Dawn!

"Shabby Chic" Paper Flowers

In the new issue of Magnolia Ink that I received, there was a tutorial on how to make paper flowers using double-sided designer paper, and three sizes of the Retro Flower Punch. Here are some of the flowers that I created. I think they would fit the "Shabby Chic" or "Vintage" look on a card very well. I found them quite easy and fun to make.

Digi Cards!

Finally had more time to make some more of the digi images that I colored last month into cards. Two of the images are from Mo's Digital Pencil Too, and the kitten image is also a digi image but I can't remember where I got it from. They are all colored with Copics on Neenah Paper, and the DP's are from my scrap box, and embellishments from my stash. I have been trying to keep the embellishments somewhat simple.

This is a card that I made for my June Mingle Card over on the Yahoo Group - "Magnolia-licious". The group is celebrating it's 2nd birthday, and that is why we have a birthday theme. My Edwin stamps were feeling a bit lonesome, so I decided to ink one up. The image is colored with Copics, the DP is by Kaisercraft, the embossed brick wall is from Tim Holtz, and the rest is from my stash.

Graduation

I have a niece and nephew that are graduating from high school this year, and I did up a card for each of them using the Penny Black Graduation Hedgehog. Both are pretty simple for me. I colored them with Copics in their school colors.

Hello all, I have had a little to time to get a card made. It is a Magnolia card with "Loves Me Tilda". This is this first time she has seen ink at my house. I believe that she is from the "Lazy Summer Days" collection from last year. I have stamped her on Neenah paper and colored her with Copics. The DP is from Basic Grey Origins collection. I have used a Martha Stewart punch, and an EK Success and Stampin' Up punch also. The yellow paper behind her was run through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. Daisy buttons and bling are from my stash.

Finally!!!!

Hello all! I finally had time to make a card and post it to my blog. Any and all cards that have been made over the past three months have been for family birthdays, made on the spur of the moment and then given to the recipient.

Finally, also relates to the end of busy season where I work. Roughly two more weeks to go until the end of tax season for us accountants. I have been working 10 hour days on the short end and weekends also. No playtime, bummer!!

But, I have been checking out blogs, and following posts at my Yahoo group, Magnolia-licious, and think that all the members works are fabulous.

I also have been somewhat of a naughty girl, and did a little purchasing over the last three months, and I had to make a card with one of the Tilda Magnolia stamps that I got at Diana's store. I believe that the name of the stamp is "Hello! Tilda". I do not see it in the store at the current time, but Diana is fabulous with regards to orders, and I am sure if you ask, she can get it for you. I know it is close to Easter, but oh well, it is a spring card also.

I do have to admit that I totally cased the layout from Cheryl's blog, but I did make it into an easel card. Thank you Cheryl for being such an inspiration to me. I love visiting your blog.

The image was colored with my Copics, and then cut out with my new Nesties. All the punches used are Martha Stewart punches, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I do feel better now, knowing that I did get to use one of the Easter/Spring stamps that I ordered.

"Where do your Belles 'n Whistles Stamps Live?"

Welcome to the house where my "Belles 'n Whistles" stamps live. The house is located in northeast Wisconsin in a city by the name of Kaukauna. No, not a Hawaiian name, but Indian. It was a pretty nice day for this time of the year, it reached 62 degrees. Not bad, for a March day in Wisconsin. My stamps decided it was warm enough for them to sit on the porch while I took the picture.

Come on in, and I will show you where they live. My craft area is in the basement of our house. I have requisitioned off a corner of the basement for my crafting area.

See, they are waiting on my stamping table, and ready to come out to play!

Stress Relieving Cards!!!

Hi all, I feel that I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off, getting ready for Christmas. Presents are bought and wrapped, tree and house is trimmed and decorated, candies and cookies made, cards sent out, and finally I can kick back and relax. Sort of!!! At least I didn't have to go near a mall or shopping center for the past couple of days, just the grocery store on my way home from work for last minute fixings, and man was it crazy.

Since Sunday, I have had some fun time creating some cards with some stamps and digital images that I did not have time to play around with earlier. Now, all I want to do is work on Christmas cards. Oh well, maybe I will get a head start on next year.

This first card uses an image by Whiff of Joy called "Wee and Reindeer". The image was stamped on Neenah paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I used the "cracked glass" technique that I saw over on the Whiff of Joy tutorial blog. I really liked how it turned out. Since these cards were stress reliever cards, I did not keep track of all the details. If you are interested in any information, please contact me.

This second card also uses a Whiff of Joy image called, "Wee and Drum". Again the image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah cardstock, and colored with Copics. The papers I do know came from a collection that I bought right before Christmas last year called Festive and Frost by My Minds Eye. I know that I cased a sketch somewhere, but I do not recall from where.

This final card uses a digital image that I purchased from Mo's Digital Pencil, that I believe is called "Choir". I printed on Neenah cardstock, let set overnite, and colored with my Copics. The DP is from the Basic Grey collection "Figgy Pudding".

I do know that I used both Stampin' Up and Martha Stewart punches on these cards, the sentiments are Amy R. Stamps from CC Designs. A lot of the embellishments have belonged to me for a very looooong time, meaning that I have too much to remember where I purchased them all from.

My First Easel Card!

Once a month, I get together with a group of friends, and we each design a card that the others get to make (like a make-n-take) and then go out to eat after. It is usually a thoroughly enjoyable day of stamping, and usually we try to come up with a challenge for our next gathering. Back when we got together in October, we went out to eat at a place called, "O'Charley's". The food was great, and so was the homemade bread that was served with our meal. Lining the bread basket was a piece of liner that we all thought would look great worked into a card, so we asked the manager if we could each have a piece, and he said sure. So to make a long story a little shorter, we used the paper as a challenge for our November get together. This is the card that I created using the liner paper copied on the copy machine at work on to 11 x 17 paper.

I thoroughly enjoyed the easel card concept, and plan to use this to make a few "Maggie" Christmas cards. Here is a close up of the card:

The image, "Oops Tilda" was colored with Copics, cut with my Nestabilities, and chalked with color before removing from the nestie. I also traced around the outer edge of the Nestabilitie on red cardstock and cut out and layered. The flowers are Prima, and punch is Martha Stewart. The charm and ribbon are from my stash. All of the images are from the "Yummy" collection. Here are the Copics used:

Thanksgiving Tilda

When I first saw this Tilda from the "So Spooky" collection, I knew that I wanted to use her for Thanksgiving. I know that some other Magnolia lovers had the same idea, because I have seen her used in a similar way on other blogs.

Tilda was colored with Copics, and cut out using my Nestabilities. Before I removed her from the Nesties, I chalked around the edge to give a softer look. The cardstock base is Bazzill, and the DP is from Debbie Mumm. The ribbon was received from my Fall Secret Sister in my Magnolia Yahoo group. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, punched out with a Stampin' Up punch. The corner punch dies are from a EK Success punch. The leaf punch is an oldie, and I am not sure who makes it. The bling is from Kaisercraft. Below are the Copics used:

Yummy Tilda!

Over the past couple of weeks, I have had time to color a bunch of images, and this weekend I finally had time to get them made into cards.

This Tilda is from the "A Little Yummy for Your Tummy" collection from Magnolia, I believe her name is "Kitchen Tilda". I colored her with Copics, cut her out and pop dotted both her and the Nestabilitie ovals. The white background was run through my Cuttlebug "Swiss Dot" embossing folder for a little texture. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and I cannot remember where I purchased the roses. Copics used were:

This is somewhat of a CAS card for me. I tend to want to keep adding embellishments.

Happy Fall

This card has been in the making for quite awhile! LOL!! The background stamp is from Peddler's Pack (bought back in May or June) and when I saw it I knew that it would work perfectly with some of my Magnolia stamps. The images have been colored with Copics, both Edwin and the bale of hay were cut out and mounted with pop dots. The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps. The cardstock base is Bazzill, the DP is so old that I no longer have the strip telling me who makes it. The leaf buttons are from my stash and tied with twine. I used so many Copic colors on this card, I didn't jot them down, and forgot to take a picture of them.

Sorry about the quality of the picture, I need to either figure out better lighting or get a different camera.

Trick or Treat Edwin

My Magnolia stamps were feeling a little neglected while I was working on my Whipper Snapper Halloween cards, so I thought I'd better make them happy and create a card with them. I used Halloween Edwin which I did see on Diana Crick's Magnolia site.

I stamped Edwin on Wausau Bright White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics and then cut out.

Copics used were E000, E00, R11, E13, E17, E19, C2, C3, C5, C7, C9, W4, V12, V15, YR18, YR23, YG63, YG67.

The background scene is from Stampin' Up, the House of Haunts set. I embossed the house and tree on Stampin' Up's Whisper White cardstock with clear embossing ink and black detail powder. Using sponge daubers, I applied the following inks in the order given to create the night sky - Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Pale Plum, Eggplant Envy, and Adirondack Mushroom.

The fence is from C.C. Designs Sugarplum Spooky Scenery Set. It was stamped on gray cardstock and highlighted with Copic marker W4, and cut out.

The "Trick or Treat" sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set, "Beware". It was stamped in black on a cream cardstock and then punched out with a Stampin' Up punch.

The card was then assembled, starting with the cardstock base of Worldwin Papers Caribbean Colors "Midnight Surf" on which "Lime Crush" Bazzil Basics was layered. The DP was from an older Basic Grey collection - Fusion. The background image was layered on Stampin' Up's Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the Midnight Surf. Edwin, the fence, and sentiment were popped up using foam dots. The bat I believe is from May Arts.

I do not normally mass produce my Magnolia cards, but was running out of time for my rain and mingle cards for the Yahoo Magnolia-licious group that I belong to. I made six of these cards, five to send out, and one to keep for myself.

"Whipper Snapper" Halloween

Autumn Wishes

I haven't posted in so long, I hope I remember how! LOL!!

I have been so empty nesting it with both of my sons off to college, my house hasn't been this clean in ages. My stamping area has been a little neglected, but my mojo is coming back. Thank, God!!!

Over on the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog, the DT September Sketch Project was to create an "Accordian Mini-File". The sketch project was brought to us from Diana, who generously offered a $25 gift certificate to Magnolia-licious to the winner.

Here is my take on the accordian file. All of the stamps used are from the Magnolia 2008 Fall Kit. For most of mine, it is their first time seeing ink! Not good!!! Since I was on a roll, I also created a matching card.

Sarah Kay Images

Here are a couple of cards that I made earlier this summer using Sarah Kay images "Rose's Garden" and "Rosalie's Bicycle" from Stampavie. I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored using my Copics. Sorry I do not have the details on these cards. They were done shortly after my dad's funeral and my mom's hip surgery as a stress reliever. I am currently cleaning up my stamping area and posting what I have done at this point.

Both of my sons leave for college within the next two weeks, and my hubby and I become empty nesters. I am feeling a little down, because they are not my little boys anymore! Oh well, hopefully more time for me and stamping!!

Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures, that is one of my next projects, better pictures and learning more about blogging.

Digital Images

I recently got on the digital image bandwagon. I purchased the above images from "Mo's Digital Pencil", http://www.digitalpenciltoo.com/ The neat thing about these images is that they can be re-sized to fit the size card that you want. I created my cards using the images as downloaded, I wanted to see what I could do with them as they were.

The images were printed on Wausau Bright Cardstock, and colored with my copics. I felt the need to have some boy images, as I have been doing alot of Tilda's lately.

This card has been done for awhile, it was created for my Raining Card group with Magnolia-licious!

Tilda with Magnolias

Oh, what a few days of vacation can do for a person! I feel so relaxed, just stayed home by myself and stamped. Got quite a bit done too! I will share over the next few days.

Tilda with Magnolias is the name of the stamp that I used for this card. It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Copics. The cardstock and layering pieces were Bazzil, the DP is from the Basic Grey Wisteria collection. The flowers are Prima and the rose leaf punch is Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession which I stamped with Ranger Sea Shell Cloudy Blue ink. The corners were punched with a Stampin' Up punch. The brads, pearls, and stickles are from my supply.

Christmas in July!

Here is a card that I made for the Magnolia-licious Highlites "Christmas In July" Challenge. It was a little hard getting in the Christmas mood, but once I got going, my Christmas Mojo kicked in. The card details are as follows:

Tilda Time

I finally have had time to create some cards!!! Yeah!!! I belong to the Yahoo group "MAGNOLIA-licious" and have been participating in their Mingles and Raining Card groups. Above is the card that I made for the July Mingle. It was to have a Red, White, and Blue theme, and since the 4th of July was past, I decided to dress Tilda in the Patriotic colors. The image was colored with Copics.

Beach Bum Tilda

I finally have had some time to play. My job as an accountant pretty much ties me up from January through April, and the only cards I get done are the ones I need for birthdays and special occasions. May was somewhat of a chaos also, my dad's health deteriorated very fast, and we lost him on May 7th. My mother had some health issues also, hip replacement surgery, which had been scheduled since January. One on top of the other, just made life somewhat miserable, but we are coping.

I also was in the process of setting up this blog, and I think I am getting the hang of it, I just need to get a watermark software.

I would like to share with you a card that I made using Tilda in her bathing suit from the Summer of 2007. She has just spent the day at the beach in the sun, sand, and water, and had a ball!! She was a regular "Beach Bum".

First Posting

Well, I have finally gone and done it, I have created a blog. Boy, do I have alot to learn. For now, I am going to stick with the basics until I get the hang of it.

For my first post, I am going to share with you some cards that I made for a challenge that I presented to a group of my stamping friends. We meet once a month, and I gave each of them the Whiff of Joy image "Oakley on his Scooter" and told them to create a card for our next gathering. I also gave them a piece of DP and coordinating embellishments to use or not on the card they created. I will apologize in advance, I did color with my Copic markers, but did not write down the color numbers. I also had to create a card, the first card is for our challenge, and the other two I did just for fun.

Again, I have alot to learn about blogging, please bear with me.
